LaTeX2e is a macro package that enables authors to typeset and print their work in the highest typography quality using a predefined, professional layout. It uses the TeX formatter as its typesetting engine. TeX is aimed at typesett ing text and mathematical formulae. In this presentation a brief overview will be given on the capabilities of LaTeX and why it is a good opensource replacemen t for Microsoft Word, for anyone creating serious technical documentation.

  Topic: Advanced Routing under Linux using IPRoute2
The Iproute2+tc (http://snafu.freedom.org/linux2.2/iproute-notes.html) package allows access to the variety of networking features in the 2.2/2.4/2.6 kernels such as: Policy routing, NAT, QoS, advanced tunnels, RSVP and DiffServe, etc. In this talk we will scratch the surface of what is possable with these tools and show how they can be applied to solve a real South African problem.

Knoppix (http://www.knoppix.org) is a LiveCD Linux distribution based on Debian. As a LiveCD, it runs directly off the CD -- just stick it in the drive and reboot. This presentation will briefly touch on some of Knoppix's interesting features and then go on to explain how to create your own custom Knoppix-based LiveCD.
